Let’s take a moment to think about your cells (of which you have about 70 trillion) & all of your body tissues that they make up (e.g. your organs, muscles, bones, eye, glands).

At any point in time our body is buzzing with cellular activity.

What is fueling our cells ability to function, fight, repair, grow & duplicate?

Whatever it is we eat.

Literally whatever it is we put into our mouth provides the resources for making our cells & body tissues, as well as the fuel for our cellular functions.

We literally select & eat what we will become made out of.

This means we are all part apple, part cake, part pumpkin, part granola bar….

Kind of neat as via nutrition we literally have the power to change what we are made out of.

I believe it is equally important to get the nutrients you need to function optimally, as well as the satisfaction, comfort & joy that should come with eating!

I teach you about the issues & benefits of different foods, so in any situation you are able to make an informed choice around what is best for you in that moment.

Splurging (whether it be drinks with friends or something mouth-watering tasty) is expected & accepted as a critical part of well-rounded living.  

No matter what your goals or health imbalances are, I do not impose any strict ‘eat this, avoid this’ restrictions or specific “diets” (e.g. vegan, paleo, vegetarian, ketogenic). 

Rules & perfection lead to pressure, paralysis or feelings of failure.  So we avoid them.  Instead opting to increase our understanding around food, so that we can make better choices – most of the time. 

Together we identify ways in which you can make your everyday food & lifestyle choices more health enhancing.

 

IT IS WHAT YOU DO MOST OF THE TIME THAT MATTERS  

Whilst using an 80:20 approach to healthy eating is a good guide, long term I want you to be able to eat whatever you want, whenever you want. 

To intuitively eat & satisfy your needs.

But to get to this place a bit of learning & perseverance is required with a new style of eating, as first we want to clear up any nutrient deficiencies or health imbalances that maybe influencing what your crave or desire e.g. if you have a dairy sensitivity typically you crave dairy, which is not ideal as if you are sensitive eating dairy will cause inflammation, nutrient depletion, tissue damage & hormone imbalance in your body.

Over time as you restore your inner health, naturally you will be attracted to eating foods that do serve you as you will now have an embodied experience of how good this style of eating makes you feel… & you will find ‘healthy food’ to be your new craving.

LIFE IS TO BE LIVED

NOT SPENT ALL DAY IN THE KITCHEN

Eating regular nutritious whole food meals & snacks IS seriously important for a healthy body, mind & spirit.  Therefore no matter how busy you are, if you want to be the best version of yourself, the need for food preparation cannot be escaped (UNLESS you have a private wholefoods chef that is).

YET it is equally important to not be stuck in the kitchen all day!

I do enjoy cooking, especially if it results in delicious & nutritious food to eat!  However being motivated to make the most out of life, being honest there are just other things I would rather spend my time on.

THE GOAL 

Produce delicious & nutritious meals with the least effort possible…. so you can focus on whatever it is you are on this earth to do.

·      Have the minimum number of steps possible, so that you can prepare wholefood meals & snacks as quickly & efficiently.

·      Minimise dishes.

·      Are intended to be made on the fly (assuming you keep your pantry stocked up with the ‘essentials’).  Offering several variations enables you to 1) utilise seasonal produce (or whatever you have in your fridge), 2) eliminate the need for setting aside time for weekly meal planning, & 3) build up your ability to free style in the kitchen as you get more comfy preparing nutrient rich creations.

·      Offers tips for bulk preparation & storage, so that you can have a stocked freezer of ‘healthy options’ for when you are stressed, short of time, or just straight up don't feel like cooking.
